I am excited to host the 79th Assembly District’s 11th annual Backpack Giveaway event on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 10 am - 1 pm at the Ronald Reagan Community Center located at 195 E Douglas Ave, El Cajon, CA 92020.

We will have 1,000 backpacks for K-12 students filled with school supplies thanks to our generous partners and sponsors. Additionally, there will be resource tables with tons of good information for families!

Backpack Giveaway Registration Guidelines:

1. Your RSVP does not guarantee a backpack.
2. Priority is for residents of the 79th Assembly District. Check your address here: https://findyourrep.legislature.ca.gov/
3. Priority pick up time for those who RSVP is 10am-11:00am.
4. If you do not RSVP, you will need to wait until 11:00am before joining the line to get a backpack.
5. Children must be present to receive backpack.
6. Registration closes at 3pm on July 26, 2023 or once we have received 1,000 registrants.
