1279 Ending Juvenile “Strikes” & Creating Pathways to Justice Webinar

Join Assemblymember Dr. LaShae Sharp-Collins and a panel of justice reform advocates, legal experts, and community leaders for a virtual discussion on Assembly Bill 1279, legislation that prohibits a prior juvenile adjudication does not count as a prior “serious” or “violent” felony under the Three Strikes sentencing law and creates pathways for individuals currently serving enhanced sentences based on juvenile strikes to petition the court for resentencing.

This bill represents a major step toward restoring fairness, promoting rehabilitation, and aligning California’s laws with the principles of juvenile justice.

This webinar will offer participants an inside look at the bill, its impact on communities, and how you can take action to help pass AB 1279 this legislative session.

  • Hear stories from impacted individuals and advocates for justice reform.
  • Discover practical ways to get involved, from contacting legislators to sharing community stories.
  • Participate in a live Q&A with Assemblymember Sharp-Collins’ office and policy partners
