SAN DIEGO – Today, Assemblymember Akilah Weber, M.D. (D-San Diego) announced successful results to her 2022 State budget requests at a community celebration at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreation Center and Park pool, one of the recipients of her district budget allocations.

SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Dr. Akilah Weber (D-San Diego) issued the following statement in response to Supreme Court Decision overturning Roe v. Wade: “I’m greatly saddened by the decision of the Supreme Court to turn back the clock on women today. Reproductive care is health care and millions of women will be harmed by this decision. We know that abortions will not stop but safe abortions will be unavailable in numerous states, putting women’s lives at risk. The greatest burden will be carried by low income and women of color.”
