Assemblymember Weber Celebrates Black History Month, Introduces Kliptown Boot Dancers
Sacramento - February is Black History Month. As part of the celebration, the California State Assembly enjoyed a special presentation honoring African American culture. In conjunction with the Legislative Black Caucus, Assemblymember Shirley Weber (D-San Diego) was proud to present the African Kliptown Boot Dancers. The young dancers, who now reside in San Rafael, came from a shanty town in South Africa, called Kliptown.
